Where to stream Goya Awards 2025 nominees’

El 47, Second Prize, and ‘La infiltrada’ lead the 39th Goya Awards nominations, which will be held in Granada on February 8. ‘El 47’ has 14 nominations, the most of the 25 films competing. Our Oscar pick, ‘Second Prize’, has 11 nominations, trailing ‘La infiltrada’ with 13.

This fictional Los Planetas biopic “is not a film about Los Planetas,” but it covers all the rock biography codes. We sent it to the Oscars because it’s one of the year’s most unique films. As unclassifiable as the band’s music, it could win the Goyas with fewer nominations.

The big surprise this year was that Nawja Nimri was not nominated for her extraordinary performance as a mother obsessed with educating future women, turning her daughter into one of Spain’s most brilliant minds in the 1930s and a European reference on female sexuality. Featuring the best actors, this corrosive comedy-drama follows a family’s breakdown. A mature woman wants to spend a weekend with her family at her Cadaqués, Costa Brava, home, even though she’s been divorced for years, her ex has a new partner, and her children are grown and don’t care about her.

In the 1990s, a famous Spanish rocker travels Latin America to find his calling by overcoming addictions. There, he meets a struggling veteran musician who takes him in and tutors him on many levels.
