Many YouTube movie trailers have millions of views. The funny thing is they’re all fake trailers.
The trailer below is thousands of fans’ dream come true. The alleged film ‘Bond 26’ stars Henry Cavill as the spy alongside Margot Robbie in a minute and a half of action images. The article currently has over 3.5 million views. Despite being a fake trailer, it has raised expectations. It is not the only case, and AI aims to improve the creation of trailers for films that never existed (though many would like them to).
The KH Studio account behind the Cavill-as-James Bond video quickly states in the description that it is a personal work:
This conceptual trailer is for entertainment and art only. I meticulously integrated effects, sound design, AI technologies, film analysis, and other elements to realize my vision. Its artistic goal is to entertain and engage YouTubers. This trailer aims to showcase my creativity and storytelling. Thanks for your support; let’s explore imagination.
The trailer may not look professional, at least not by movie standards, but what’s interesting is the supposed production and its reception. For years, Cavill’s fans have wanted him to play Ian Flemming’s legendary spy, and he has even hinted that he would be happy to play the role: “it depends on the producers and we have to see what their plans are.”
Capturing the “what if…” of an unrealized film can be a goldmine for YouTube views. It’s not the first trailer for Bond 26, as we said. If you’re one of those who opens Discover and Google recognizes you as a film lover, you may have seen many other fake trailers, no matter how anticipated.
Four weeks ago, another KHStudio video went viral. It was announced that Tom Holland would star in ‘Back To The Future 4’ Result? More than 4 million views. Foxstar Media posted an unannounced trailer for a Will Smith sequel to ‘I Am Legend’ on YouTube on April 14. The clip showed the actor reprising the role with Michael B. Jordan. The trailer has 1.1 million views after appearing in Google Discover:
Another “concept trailer,” and again, they chose a viral production. According to Variety, Smith and Jordan will star in a sequel to the original film, so they release a fake trailer first.
Foxstar Media has more, including ‘Popeye’ (starring Will Smith), ‘Avatar 3’, ‘Terminator 7′, ‘Rambo 6’, and ‘He-Man’ (Chris Hemsworth). Few reach a million views, but most have several hundred thousand.
On the Foxstar Media home page, the header video promotes their course to learn how to make trailers “and earn millions of dollars” by hosting them on their channel.

Today, we can find all kinds of fake trailers, and the more mainstream or commercial they are, the more fandom the actor or franchise has, the more versions appear. Although they seem new, these “conceptual advances” have been around for a while. Little White Lies reported a few months ago that the YouTube channel Smasher, run by video editor Rob Long, started the practice about a decade ago.
Long did it for art, as they say. His passion for creating and seeing people’s reactions led him to create his own trailers. After that, accounts like Teaser PRO, run by two friends (Vladimir and Ivan), gained “fame” with one of the most popular conceptual trailers on the web, ‘Marvel Avenger: Infinity War’ (19 million views):
