Propstore, one of the world’s largest film and TV memorabilia companies, scheduled its second Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction of 2024 for August in Los Angeles. The pieces are projected to sell for $10 million.

Propstore’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction will feature over 1,900 unique and iconic artifacts from August 15th to 18th, 2024, starting at 9:30AM PDT each day. Registration and the whole catalog are at https://propstore.com/liveauction. On August 15, 2024, The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles will host in-room bidding. Global online, absentee, and telephone bids are accepted throughout the event.

In Propstore’s spring LA auction, actor Anthony Daniels’ screen-matched light-up C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) head from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) sold for $843,750 (with buyer’s premium).

CNN Newsource/WKRC: Valencia, Calif. Over 1,900 cinematic objects from practically every decade and genre will be auctioned, including Star Wars, Marvel, and “Scream.”

Propstore’s Entertainment Media Live Auction began Wednesday and will auction 1928 items until Sunday, August 18.

While no auction knows the final price, some of the most valuable artifacts will be auctioned off:

Captain America’s shield from “Captain America: Civil War” (2016), $50,000–$100,000.
Ghostface outfit, “Scream” (1996), $50,000–$100,000.
Indiana Jones’ Hat, “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” (1984), $250,000–$500,000.
Imperial Scout Trooper “Biker Scout” Helmet, “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” (1983), $250,000–$500,000.

The sale has memorabilia from any movie, from superhero movies to “Alvin & the Chipmunks.”

“There are many titles in this auction, from ‘Star Trek’ to ‘Star Wars,’ ‘Ghostbusters,’ ‘Batman,’ and many of your favorites from the last 50 years,” stated a Propstore salesperson.

Another rep said, “If you’re somebody who is very passionate about a specific film or a franchise, what better way to celebrate that and to connect to that than by owning a little piece of it.”

Unfortunately, Hollywood history is expensive. Even a $400-$800 original bound script for “Apocalypse Now” is pricey.

“They’re the physical manifestation of that great piece of entertainment that we can’t forget, you know, that lives in our minds forever, and to have something that was really there, on set, as part of the making of the magic, is pretty special,” said a Propstore rep.
